Carat Labs Inc. is a purveyor of fine jewelry, specializing in items such as rings, necklaces, bracelets, and earrings (collectively, the "Products"). We also offer bespoke jewelry creation services ("Custom Commissions") through our "Contact Us" or custom order inquiry portal.

3. Product Representation & Disclaimers

We strive to present our Products with high-quality images and accurate descriptions. However, you acknowledge that the visual presentation, including color, finish, and scale, may vary based on your device's display settings and capabilities. Carat Labs cannot guarantee that your screen will perfectly reflect the physical attributes of a Product. We reserve the right to correct any typographical, informational, or pricing errors that may appear on the Website.

4. Custom Commission Process

4.1. Inquiry Submission: To initiate a Custom Commission, you must submit a request through the designated channel on our Website. This requires providing accurate and complete information, which may include your name, contact details, jewelry type, metal preferences, gemstone specifications, and any inspirational designs or sketches.

4.2. No Guarantee of Acceptance: Submission of an inquiry does not obligate Carat Labs to undertake the project. We will review each request and, at our sole discretion, determine whether to proceed. We may contact you to discuss your vision, timeline, and budget.

4.3. Estimate & Deposit: If we decide to move forward, we will provide you with a written estimate via email. Upon your written acceptance of the estimate, a non-refundable deposit of fifty percent (50%) of the total cost is required before work commences.

4.4. Production & Final Payment: Production timelines for Custom Commissions vary and will be communicated to you. Upon completion, we will notify you, and the remaining fifty percent (50%) balance must be paid in full before the item is shipped.

4.5. Price Adjustments: In rare circumstances, unforeseen complexities in the creation process may necessitate a revision to the initial estimate. Should this occur, we will promptly notify you of the revised cost. You may then choose to proceed by paying the adjusted balance or to cancel the order. In the event of cancellation, we will refund fifty percent (50%) of your initial deposit to acknowledge the preliminary work undertaken.

5. Purchases & Payment

By purchasing a Product, you authorize Carat Labs and its designated third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe, Shopify Payments) to charge your provided payment method for the total amount, including applicable taxes and shipping fees. You represent and warrant that you have the legal right to use any payment method you provide.

6. Promotions

From time to time, we may offer promotions, discounts, or special offers. Such promotions are subject to their specific terms and conditions and may be modified or terminated at our discretion. Promotional codes must be applied at the time of purchase and cannot be combined unless explicitly stated.

7. Satisfaction & Product Care

7.1. Subjective Nature: Jewelry is a personal and subjective product. Carat Labs cannot guarantee an individual's personal satisfaction with the aesthetic of any Product.

7.2. Jewelry Care Guidance: To maintain the beauty of your jewelry, we recommend the following:

  • Clean periodically with a soft cloth and mild, soapy water.

  • Avoid exposure to harsh chemicals, abrasives, and chlorinated water.

  • Remove jewelry before engaging in physical activity, swimming, showering, or applying lotions and perfumes.
    You assume all responsibility for the care and maintenance of the Product once it is delivered to you.

By providing your email address, you consent to receive electronic communications from us, which may include administrative messages, product updates, and marketing offers. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CARAT LABS INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE WEBSITE OR THE PURCHASE, USE, OR INABILITY TO USE ANY PRODUCTS.

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Website after any changes indicates your acceptance of the new Terms. This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

11. Buy One Get One 20% OFF TERMS:

  • Automatic Application: The 20% discount is automatically applied at checkout to the item of equal or lesser value in your cart.

  • Stackability: This offer cannot be combined with other discount codes or memorial diamond services unless otherwise stated.

  • Returns: If a portion of the order is returned, the refund will equal the price paid for the specific item, minus the prorated discount.

  • Exclusions: Offer applies to all jewelry. Not valid on gift cards or previous purchases.
